People call me Yad

Product builder and designer in Tel Aviv. I enjoy turning the messy, boring parts of a product into something simple, clear and useful.

Yadin Zarfati

I look for the thing that's broken but nobody talks about. Everyone works around it. I'd rather just fix it.

I get weirdly bothered by bad products. Something people use every day should feel like someone cared about them.

Effortlessness is the whole point. If someone has to figure it out, it's not done yet.

I'd redesign anything. Menus, signage, the parking app that ruined your week. This website included, about four times.

How I work

Sit with the people doing the work. Write the undocumented process down in plain language. Find the three steps that cause the other twenty. Ship the smallest system that removes them — then check whether anyone actually stopped using the spreadsheet.
